I picked up my 2005 Athlon Sports College Football Preview the other day to start to get up to speed on where each of the 119 Division I college teams stack up. Because the information on college football is not nearly as transparent as the NFL, I believe the first 5 weeks of the NCAA season is where you can do very well betting. The lines have much more "slack" in them and I think you can take advantage if you do your homework.
I haven't made any firm conclusions yet, but 3 teams that on first glance look like they will be stronger than their rankings are Fresno St. (#30), Penn St. (#60), and Miami, OH (#67).
